Abstract

Barang Not Good (NG) dan reject adalah bentuk pemborosan (waste) yang berdampak pada peningkatan biaya produksi, baik dari sisi pemakain bahan baku maupun jam kerja, serta potensi terjadinya klaim pelanggan pada industri komponen otomotif. Pengabdian pada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kesadaran dan pemahaman operator produksi terkait penerapan protokol Stop, Call, Wait (SCW) sebagai salah satu mekanisme pengendalian potensi kegagalan produksi dalam tahap awal (proses produksi). Kegiatan dilakukan pada salah satu perusahaan industri komponen otomotif yang dilakukan dalam tiga tahapan yaitu observasi, penyuluhan dan simulasi lapangan serta evaluasi kegiatan. Materi disampaikan melalui Kampanye Program Perusahaan (KPP) dengan penekanan pada peran operator, leader dan quality control. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman mitra terhadap pentingnya SCW Ketika ditemukan kondisi abnormal, hal ini juga ditandai dengan meningkatnya koordinasi antar bagian serta mendorong terbentuknya budaya kerja yang responsif terhadap problem kualitas. Pendampingan ini diharapkan mampu mendukung perusahaan dalam menekan pemborosan material, pemborosan jam kerja akibat rework, serta peningkatan efisiensi penggunaan sumber daya.
