Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan keterlibatan emosional siswa EFL melalui pemanfaatan kecerdasan buatan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di SMKN 4 Buton Utara dengan jumlah 27 siswa menggunakan pendekatan edukatif partisipatif yang meliputi penyuluhan interaktif, demonstrasi, praktik langsung, diskusi, dan pendampingan berbasis teknologi. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui observasi, kuesioner, dan wawancara untuk mengukur partisipasi, respons emosional, dan motivasi belajar siswa. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan partisipasi hingga 92%, keterlibatan emosional 88%, motivasi belajar 85%, serta respons positif terhadap teknologi AI sebesar 94%. Siswa menjadi lebih aktif, percaya diri, dan tertarik dalam mengikuti pembelajaran. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi AI mampu menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang interaktif, adaptif, dan bermakna. Oleh karena itu, pemanfaatan AI dapat menjadi alternatif efektif untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan emosional siswa dalam pembelajaran EFL di sekolah. Implikasinya, guru didorong mengembangkan kompetensi digital dan strategi pembelajaran berbasis teknologi agar proses belajar lebih personal, inklusif, serta mampu memenuhi kebutuhan dan karakteristik siswa secara berkelanjutan optimal.
